OUR STORY

We roll on
the mats, too.

Simon-Pierre & David

We're Simon-Pierre and David.

We have been practising jiu-jitsu for 3 and 7 years respectively, and have been behind LVG Nettoyage spécialisé since 2020.

DojoFresh brings our sport and our profession together.

We wanted to put our specialized cleaning experience to work for a community we belong to ourselves.

Skin infections are a familiar concern in combat sports. Missing training because of an infection affects athletes and the people who run their gyms.

Our mission is to help dojo and gym owners maintain a clean, well-kept and professional environment for their members.

We want to help raise cleaning standards so owners, coaches and athletes can focus on training, improving and growing their sports.

OUR CLEANING SERVICES

For what builds up between cleanings.
For what hides beneath the mats.

01

Thorough surface cleaning

Because a quick pass with a mop isn't always enough.

Cleaning mats after class is essential. But between groups, things move quickly, and cleaning is not always as thorough as you would like.

Over time, hair, dust, dried sweat, oils and small blood stains can build up on the mats.

Our machine brushes the surface, loosens soil and recovers dirty water. We also respect the disinfectant's required contact time.

This service complements your daily cleaning routine.

02

Deep cleaning

A fresh start for your training area.

Hair, dust and debris collect in seams and beneath mats. They do not disappear on their own.

We lift and remove mats to vacuum accumulated debris and reach the floor below. The underside of the mats is maintained dry, using a vacuum and brush, without liquid washing. We wash the edges with soft brushes, wipe them down and return each mat to its original position.

A thorough clean of the areas that stay hidden the rest of the year.

THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT FOR YOUR SURFACES

Smooth or textured.
We adapt our method.

Soft brushes, adapted mechanical brushing and dirty-water recovery: our method fits your training surface. Here is our equipment at work and a close-up of a mat’s texture.

A MOMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY

Jiu-jitsu.
Good conversations.
And lemonade.

During our time at the SAU tournament, we also sold homemade lemonade. It was an opportunity to meet practitioners and introduce them to DojoFresh.

FOR OUR COMMUNITY

We all want
to keep rolling.

No one wants to miss training because of a skin infection.

A well-maintained space is part of a gym's good habits, alongside personal hygiene and everyone's awareness.

From adults pushing their limits to children discovering the sport, everyone deserves a training space that is cared for.

AFTER OUR VISIT

A clean you can see.
And share.

After each service, we provide a visit certificate showing the date and cleaning performed.

Display it at the entrance or share it with your members. It's a simple way to show students, parents and new visitors that you care about maintaining your gym.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Clear expectations.
Start to finish.

Can we spread the cost over several months?

Yes. Monthly payments are available. Contact us to discuss the terms that apply to your quote.

Do we need to cancel classes?

We schedule our visits when no classes are running, allowing time for both cleaning and drying.

How long do the mats take to dry?

Usually around 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the mats and conditions on site. Training can resume once the surface is dry; this timing is an estimate.

What are the signs that a thorough cleaning would help?

Oily or sticky mats, visible dirt and buildup in seams deserve attention. A reported infection at the gym should also prompt a review of hygiene practices with appropriate professionals.

How do you prepare and use your products?

We use precise measuring tools to prepare dilutions and follow product instructions, including contact time and surface compatibility.

How do you maintain your brushes?

Brushes are rinsed after every cleaning and labelled by use to limit transfers of soil between different types of surfaces.

Do you wash the underside of the mats with water?

No. We dry-vacuum and brush the underside, and vacuum the floor below. We wash the mat edges with soft brushes, wipe them down and return the mats to their original positions.

Where do you travel?

We serve Montreal, Laval, the North Shore, the South Shore, Vaudreuil-Soulanges and the Richelieu Valley within our Greater Montreal service area. Call to confirm your address and travel arrangements.

EVERYDAY GOOD HABITS

A clean gym.
A team effort.

Before and after classes

Vacuum debris before training and as needed. After classes, clean the mats with full coverage and the prescribed dilution. Clean mop heads after every use.

Brushing and disinfection

Mechanical brushing loosens soil on both smooth and textured mats. Disinfection then depends on a suitable product, correct dilution and the contact time stated on its label.

Clean feet on the mats

Wear sandals off the mats and remove them before stepping on. A dedicated foot cleaning station can complement this routine. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, replace dirty solution promptly and adjust maintenance to usage.

Watch for moisture

Encourage ventilation and complete drying. A dehumidifier can help when humidity is excessive. Hair and debris can retain moisture beneath mats: inspect and vacuum these areas, and do not reinstall over trapped moisture.

Staph infections, ringworm and athlete's foot require different treatment approaches. If you notice a suspicious skin lesion, stop contact sports and seek medical advice about treatment and returning to training. Surface cleaning complements personal hygiene; it does not guarantee an infection-free environment.
