Lift to understand what is happening
If you notice concerning signs, inspect seams and accessible areas beneath panels. Remove debris and examine the floor. Unusual moisture can have several causes; cleaning does not diagnose leaks or building problems. Persistent odours or suspicious marks need an appropriate assessment.
Our underside method: no liquid washing
At DojoFresh, mat undersides are maintained dry using a vacuum and brush. We also vacuum the floor beneath them. Edges are washed with soft brushes and wiped down. Panels return to their original positions once the surfaces are ready. This method is not a mould-remediation service.
Removing debris is not the same as drying
Vacuuming hair and dust is useful, but a damp assembly should not be closed up simply because it is clean. Identify the cause, allow drying and check the surfaces. Ventilation and, when needed, a dehumidifier can help. Leaks or water damage first require addressing the source.
Understand the stated drying time
After surface cleaning, DojoFresh generally estimates 45 to 90 minutes of drying depending on mats and conditions. That estimate does not describe drying a saturated floor or damp building. Reopening should depend on checking the actual surfaces, not only on the clock.
Key takeaways
- Inspect beneath mats when moisture persists.
- Vacuum debris and identify the moisture source.
- Do not reinstall panels over damp surfaces.
- Distinguish cleaning, drying and addressing building problems.
